Vegetarian Cooking Class

A study of Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts has investigated that a diet rich in vegetables and fruits can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, prevent some types of cancer, lower risk of eye and digestive problems, and have a positive effect upon blood sugar, which can help keep appetite in check.

They also mentioned, although all fruits and vegetables likely contributed to this benefit, green leafy vegetables, such as lettuce, spinach, Swiss chard, and mustard greens, were most strongly associated with decreased risk of cardiovascular disease. Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, bok choy and kale; and citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruit (and their juices) also made important contributions.

With all of the health benefits mentioned above, we can definitely see why we should eat vegetables and fruits. What they didn’t talk about is that a vegetable dish can be super delicious too! This is where Luna comes in and shows you how. Her grandma has been a vegetarian in the last 20 years and she has inspired Luna to learn even more about vegetarian cooking, in the way that is not only eye-catching with many different colors it has to offer, but also rich in nutrients and tasty to your liking.

Some of the healthy  dishes are available in her cooking classes are: stir fried vegetables with garlic and soy sauce, steamed tofu with mushrooms, slow cooked eggplants with onion and tomatoes, mixed green salads, slow cooked okra with tomatoes sauce and peanut crumble, pumpkin and carrot soup, vegetable dumplings, vegetable spring rolls, vegetables green or yellow curry, rice pan cake with mushrooms and fried shallots, steamed vegetables, fruits platter, green beans pudding, coconut milk with tapioca and chia seeds pudding, fruits pudding dessert and many more dishes.

Not only specialised in Vietnamese traditional cooking, Luna offers cooking classes for some of her favorite dishes from Indonesia, Thailand, India and also Italian and Dutch dishes.
