Our new programme follows a four-term progression, building students’ skills step by step from basic drawing to painting and creative projects.

* Term 1 – August–October: Line, Shape & Form
: Develops observation, pencil skills, and confidence in drawing.

* Term 2 – November–January: Value, Light & Shadow
: Introduces shading, depth, and three-dimensional drawing.

* Term 3 – February–April: Space, Perspective & Proportion
: Develops spatial understanding, proportion, and more advanced drawing skills.

* Term 4 – May–July: Colour, Composition & Year-End Project: 
Introduces colour and painting with watercolour, acrylics, and gouache, bringing the year’s skills together in a creative final project.

LNA Dutch & English Language Classes

Our Dutch and English classes help children build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and everyday communication through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

Lessons are designed to make language learning practical, creative, and enjoyable.

Young Kids (ages 4–6): 30 minutes per class

Children (ages 7–14): 1 hour per class

Teens (ages 13–18): 1–1.5 hours per class, depending on the course.

Classes are held once a week. Depending on the weekday you choose, there will be 2, 3, 4, or 5 classes in a month.

Please note that no classes are held on public holidays, and our schedule follows the Dutch school holiday calendar.

Drawing & Painting (Art Classes) and Language Classes (Dutch & English)
For:

The fee is €50 per month per child.
Trial class: €12 per child, per class.

Specialised Courses
Two new courses have a different fee:
* Fashion Illustration: €60 per month per child
* Drawing in Procreate (iPad): €60 per month per child
Trial class: €15 per child, per class.

Other Occasional Classes
Fees for other occasional or specialised classes may vary depending on the course. The applicable fee will be communicated separately for each course.

Our class fees support the quality of our lessons, art materials, and the ongoing operation of the atelier.

We currently offer three age groups:

* Young Kids: ages 4–6
* Children: ages 7–14
* Teens: ages 13–18

Note: Besides our weekly children’s classes, we also offer a range of creative classes for adults, including art (drawing & painting), embroidery, textile design, fashion design, creative writing, and more.

Luna teaches classes in three languages: Dutch, English, and Vietnamese. She communicates with the whole class mainly in Dutch, and with each individual child in their preferred language.

The other instructors also speak multiple languages. The primary languages used in class are Dutch and English, but an instructor’s mother tongue (for example Spanish, English, or Russian) can be used when needed to support communication with a child, especially if the child has recently moved to the Netherlands.

Each class can accommodate up to 20 students. Typically, one assistant supports the instructor during the lesson.

We give the same amount of time, attention, and art supplies to every kid. There is no difference between the trial class and the actual class.

Basic materials are included unless stated otherwise. Students may be asked to bring or purchase additional materials for personal projects.

Please read the class descriptions on our Classes page carefully to understand what to expect or prepare from each class.

We do not provide food during regular classes. Students may bring their own snacks if needed, and we typically only provide water during the session.

When a child celebrates their birthday, they are welcome to bring a small snack or treat to share with the class. We kindly ask that you choose low-sugar or preferably sugar-free options whenever possible.

If you do not want your child to be given any food or treats, or if your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please inform us by email in advance (during your registration process) so we can take the necessary precautions.

Yes, please inform us of any important details we should be aware of, such as allergies, medical conditions, or anything specific we should watch for to ensure your child’s safety and help them perform well in class.

If it’s a trial class and your child is very young or shy, you’re welcome to wait in the seating area just outside the classroom. Alternatively, you can leave your phone number with us, and we’ll call you if your child requests your presence.

Please call our atelier phone number directly to help you open the door in case the doorbell is not working.

Since October 2025, our new atelier has been relocated on the 3rd floor of the Saeckenborgh office building.

The best way to enter is through the main entrance:
* Front of the building: the entrance is to the left of the SIXT car rental office.
* Back of the building: the entrance is to the left of the (current) main entrance of Ekoplaza supermarket.

At the front entrance, you will find a digital doorbell/intercom board. Please select “Luna Nguyen” on the screen. We will then remotely open the door for you. Once the door opens, enter through the sliding glass door and take the elevator to the 3rd floor.

Luna teaches the majority of our art classes, and we also have other instructors leading sessions in the atelier. Over the past two years, our art school has grown organically, which is why you may see different teachers for some classes.

We keep our students informed about who will be teaching each class through our Classes page on the website and our monthly newsletter. Be sure to check the details regularly or subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date.

The class primarily focuses on drawing and painting techniques. We believe in teaching students how to draw realistically while also enjoying the creative process.

Once a month, we also organize a “Creative Week,” during which students explore other art forms inspired by different artists. Activities may include 3D projects using clay, paper, fabric, wood, stone, natural materials, or recycled and upcycled items.

By introducing a variety of techniques and materials, we help children discover new ways to express themselves while encouraging creativity and respect for the environment.

These classes are integrated into the curriculum to enrich the overall learning experience.

Over the years, students also have the opportunity to showcase their artwork in public exhibitions regularly organized by the atelier, supporting not only their artistic development but also their confidence, creativity, and personal growth.

Starting from August 2026, our art classes (and also other creative classes for children) will be organised into four three-month terms each year:

* Term 1: August – October
* Term 2: November – January
* Term 3: February – April
* Term 4: May – July

When you enrol your child for a term, you are committing to three consecutive months of classes. Your child’s place is reserved for the full term, allowing us to plan our schedule, curriculum, classes, art materials, and staffing in advance.

This term-based system also reduces administrative work, allowing us to dedicate more time and energy to providing high-quality lessons and a consistent learning experience for every child.

At the end of each term, you may choose to continue for the following term or end the enrolment (before the 7th of the last month of the current trimester).

No, your child does not need any prior experience to enroll. It’s essential for kids to explore different forms of art and creative disciplines, allowing them to develop their talents and grow creatively.

We will inform you and add you to our waiting list. We will get back to you as soon as a spot becomes available, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Yes, your child can bring a phone, but they are not allowed to use it during class, and it should be on silent mode. After class, they can call you, or you can reach out to them.

When you enrol your child for a term, you are committing to three consecutive months of classes, and your child’s place is reserved for the entire term.

If you decide that your child will not continue for the next term, simply let us know before the 7th of the final month of the current term.

For example, if your child is enrolled for August–October and you do not wish to continue for November–January, please let us know by 7 October at the latest.

This allows us enough time to plan the next term’s classes, schedule, materials, and places for other children.

Classes will normally continue as scheduled, unless we decide it is unsafe to do so.

If a class takes place, no refunds are given for students who are unable to attend due to bad weather. The class fee covers reserved studio time, materials, preparation, and instruction, and these costs continue regardless of weather conditions.

Travel to and from the studio is the responsibility of the student.

If we must cancel a class due to extreme circumstances, we will offer a replacement class or a suitable alternative where possible.

If an instructor is unable to teach a class due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, the class fee will not be refundable. We will either reschedule the class with the same instructor or arrange a suitable replacement. Students will be notified as soon as possible of any changes.

Missed classes are non-refundable and make-up classes are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.

If your child is unable to attend their regular class, please inform us via our atelier email address as soon as you know and arrange a make-up class with us in advance.

We recommend taking the make-up class within the same month as the missed class.

Missed classes cannot be carried over to future terms or courses unless explicitly agreed with us.

Students are expected to treat the atelier, equipment, art materials, teachers, and fellow students with care and respect.

We encourage students to use materials responsibly, keep their workspace tidy, and contribute to a safe, welcoming, and creative learning environment.

Any damage caused by intentional or careless misuse of the atelier, equipment, or materials may be charged to the responsible student or their parent/guardian.

We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for all students. While we take every reasonable precaution, the art school cannot accept responsibility for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings.

Important Update: New Enrollment Structure & Payment Method

Starting in August 2026, enrollment will be organized in 3-month trimesters to support the steady development of children’s creative skills.

Each trimester includes one class per week, excluding public holidays and following the official Dutch school holiday calendar. The monthly fee is €50 or €60 depends on the courses; and will be paid via automatic direct debit (incasso). The fee remains the same regardless of the number of lessons in a particular month.

Cancellation Policy

If you do not wish to continue into the next trimester, cancellation must be submitted by email before the 7th day of the final month of the current trimester. This allows us sufficient time to process administration and offer available places to students on the waiting list.

As our atelier continues to grow, this structure will help us maintain the quality of our classes and organization while providing a more consistent learning experience for all students.

Payment options starting January 2026:

• 6-month plan: Pay for January–June 2026 at once and receive a 5% discount. You will then pay again in July for July–December 2026 and receive another 5% discount.
• Full-year plan: Pay for January–December 2026 at once and receive a 10% discount.
• Full-school year plan: Pay for August 2026 – July 2027 at once and receive a 10% discount.

Parents are also expected to communicate their child’s attendance details via our email, including the number of days they will attend and any days they will not be available.
